In the Footsteps of Paul By Ken Duncan

With rich and almost magical photographs and scripture verses, In the Footsteps of Paul is a treasure. These pictures capture the sites and feelings of the places Paul visited.

It contains short verses of scripture and occasional commentaries concerning the life and journey of Paul of Tarsus. The writings complement the marvelous photographs and illustrations to reveal the stages and places of Paul’s physical and spiritual journey.

I like this volume as a meditative aid. Contemplating Paul’s struggles in Athens or Corinth comes alive and vivid when assisted by Duncan’s photos. Often the pictures will remind me of additional scriptures not included in the text.

This book is special to me. When I graduated Biblical school, many in my class traveled to visit the cities of Paul. Because of my disabilities, I was unable to join my classmates. They returned full of stories and insights. This volume allows me to “be there” through the marvelous pictures. With the Biblical references, I can open my Bible and meditate upon the verses. The views enrich my reflections.

It is a gorgeous volume, great as a gift or a “coffee table” book. I would purchase it for its pictures alone.
